Rev. Carla Dietz
Our congregation is pleased to welcome the Rev. Carla Dietz to our church, and to the local community. She and her husband, John Carroll, live in Sacramento.
Carla was born in New York to devout Episcopal and Catholic parents. Rev. Carla did her undergraduate work at Syracuse University, earning her bachelor’s degree in visual and performing arts. Following that she worked in television, radio, theater arts and advertising.
She earned her master’s degree in special education from Fairfield University in Connecticut. She attended and worked at several churches of the United Church of Christ in Connecticut as a teacher and then as director of Christian Education.
With this background and divinity interest, she headed to Yale University to study for her Master of Divinity. She has faithfully served churches in Connecticut, Massachusetts and California, in various positions including associate, senior and interim minister in small, medium and large churches.
Rev. Dietz is an ordained “open and affirming” minister and welcomes members and visitors at 10 a.m. every Sunday. Our church is located at 8153 Elk Grove Blvd., Suite 50, facing Big Horn Boulevard. We have open Communion the first Sunday of the month.
For more information, Rev. Dietz can be reached at 916-683-1435 or elkgrovepres@gmail.com.
