GOOD FRIDAY TENEBRAE SERVICE OF SHADOWS
‘THE LAST SEVEN WORDS OF JESUS’
Friday, March 30, 2018, 7:00PM
This moving remembrance of Jesus’ death on the cross sets the stage for his resurrection on Easter. The ancient Christian Good Friday Tenebrae Service of Shadows makes use of gradually diminishing light through the extinguishing of candles to symbolize the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
Good Friday is recognized by Christians as the day Jesus was crucified for the sin of the world. On that day, Jesus hung on a cross to die for the people he loved so that he could rise again on Easter Sunday.
Please contact the EGPC Deacon in your area for assistance with transportation to worship services if needed.
